Who are you?
I am an Actress/DJ with a background in photography, based in Los Angeles. Born and raised in South Africa.
Who is a living person you most admire?
Truthfully, there are many people I admire... all equally. The one is is currently occupying my admiration is Kamala Harris. I love what she stands for, her legacy she is building and how graciously she is going about it.
When and where were you happiest?
Probably on a beach somewhere. Right now, with the current state of the world, I’m trying to find beauty and happiness everyday. Be appreciative of the smallest things because those are what pushes you forward.
What is your favorite occupation (because you do a few different things)?
Acting... ever since starting with my teacher Marjorie Ballentine last year, I have reshaped the way I see the art. There’s something really special about emotionally pushing yourself and embodying a character that really draws me in. There is so much to learn, so much to experience and it continuously keeps me on my toes.
What does comfort feel like to you?
Sweatpants and a cozy sweater, sitting outside in my hammock or cuddled up on the sofa with a fluffy blanket and a good film. With my dog of course.
What do you consider your greatest achievement?
I struggle severely with depression... so my greatest achievement is often just getting out of bed everyday especially when I am feeling really low. I am really hard on myself and am always looking to achieve bigger goals but once I achieve them I don’t ever consider it an achievement... I move on and look for how I can be better.
What do you most value in friends?
Transparency and trust. Someone you can rely on to always tell you the truth, even when it is difficult to hear or tell, and a friend that doesn’t sugarcoat it. I like people who are direct, open and honest.
What is your most treasured possession?
A scarf my grandmother knitted just before she passed away and my book collection.
What is a dream/goal for the future that you have?
To be nominated for an academy award. To be acknowledged for an incredible piece of work and have the platform to spread awareness about mental health.
